村里人都说龙朝童年轻时是个能人。他识得几个字，会算账，还懂些医术。谁家有个头疼脑热的，都愿意找他看看。他给人看病从不收钱，最多收几个鸡蛋或者一把青菜。后来公社成立了卫生所，有了赤脚医生，找他的人就渐渐少了。
